1. Who I am and what these terms cover
These terms apply to coaching, team-system reviews and related advisory work provided by pembi.net consulting services Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom (company number 14879562). They apply together with any written proposal or agreement. If the two differ, the proposal wins.
2. The services
I provide one-to-one coaching for managers, ad-hoc advisory sessions, team and process advisory work, and workshops. Unless otherwise agreed, sessions take place by video call, within reasonable UK working hours. I accept clients worldwide.
3. The free conversation
The first conversation costs nothing and creates no obligation on either side.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are set out in my proposal. I invoice monthly, and payment is due on presentation of the invoice. I operate below the VAT threshold, so no VAT is charged. Purchase orders are accepted, although I do not require them.
5. Booking, rescheduling and cancelling
Please give me at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a session. With less notice, I may charge for the session. If I have to cancel, I will offer you a new time, or a refund for that session.
6. Your right to cancel
Whether you are an individual or a business, you have 14 days from the date you accept my proposal to cancel without giving a reason. If you ask me to begin work within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the sessions I have already delivered.
7. Confidentiality
I keep everything you tell me in coaching confidential. I will disclose it only if you give me permission, if the law requires me to, or if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm. Where I can, I will tell you before I do. I store notes securely and keep them for two years, after which I delete them.
8. When your employer or another organisation pays
Sponsor agreements are available as standard. If someone else pays for your coaching, the agreement sets out the goals and how progress is reported. The confidentiality in clause 7 still applies to what you and I discuss. The organisation receives only what you choose to share, and it cannot require me to disclose the content of sessions.
9. What coaching is and is not
Coaching is a professional partnership focused on your leadership and your work. It is not therapy, and it is not medical, legal, financial or mental health advice. I cannot promise particular results, because the results depend on your choices and circumstances. If I think you need support I am not qualified to give, I will say so.
10. What I ask of you
Please attend sessions from a quiet, private space, so that you can speak freely without fear of being overheard, and prepare where it will help. Please treat me with respect, as I will treat you.
11. Intellectual property
Materials I create for you, such as templates and frameworks, remain mine. You may use them for your own work and your own team, but not sell or republish them. What you share with me remains yours.
12. Personal data
I handle personal data in line with UK data protection law. I use the details you give me to reply to you, to arrange and deliver the services, and to keep records I am required to keep. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam. My privacy page has the full detail.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow me to limit. Subject to that, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and my total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the fees you paid in the 30 days before the claim. I hold professional indemnity insurance.
14. Ending an agreement
Either of us may end an agreement by giving 30 days' written notice. You pay for sessions delivered up to that point, and I refund any fees paid for sessions not yet delivered. I may end an agreement immediately if you seriously breach these terms.
15. Complaints
If something is not right, please tell me. I will reply within ten working days and do my best to put it right.
16. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. The version on the site on the date you accept my proposal applies to that engagement.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland and are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in your home courts.
18. Contact
To reach me, use the contact form. Once an agreement is in place, I will give you other ways to contact me, such as email and telephone.
