Hamachi gets greedy
I’m very sad to report that one of my favourite security tools, Hamachi, has basically taken itself out of the market for me. In case you didn’t know, Hamachi is a great little VPN product that is SO easy to configure I could even talk a marketing director through it over the phone. Unfortunately they’ve just changed their licensing model and will shortly force me to pay US$500+ per year.
Luckily there are alternatives, many of them are free and some are even open-source, although none of the ones I’ve looked at so far are as easy to get going as Hamachi.
