A new home!
My poor FSG has just been overwhelmed with work, so I’ve moved the blog and email duties off to a hosted service. If you’re reading this, it works.
WordPress (the software that serves this blog) has been getting more and more… err… comprehensive recently. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, it makes publishing this stuff a no-brainer (which is perfect for me), but the demands of PHP interpretation with a fully-featured MySQL back-end were beginning to render it unusable on the valiant little FSG. So I took pity on the poor beast. It currently only serves music via the mt-daapd iTunes service, and acts (very well) as a NAS. On the plus side, it’s no longer a mission-critical production server, so I’m free to play with it again. Maybe I’ll wake up that home-automation project again.
